The Longest Table style event with music, art, games, and vendors. We set up together, eat together, and break down and leave together!

Welcome to the Chris Higgins Earth Day Festival happening on Payson's Green Valley Park on April 18, 2026 at 12:00 PM (Mountain Standard Time)! Join us for an afternoon where we all come together to setup one LONG TABLE and eat in union, breaking bread as a community. There will be other fun activities, live music, and local vendors. Let's celebrate Rim Country together. Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with neighbors and friends, new and seasoned, and enjoy a day dedicated to God and taking care of the Earth!

The Longest Table is a global community-building movement that uses the simple act of sharing a meal to bring people together across differences. Through long, shared tables set in public spaces around the world, The Longest Table creates welcoming environments where strangers become neighbors, conversations replace divisions, and community is strengthened. Each gathering is locally hosted but globally connected—centered on belonging, generosity, and the belief that when people sit down together, meaningful change begins

Event setup will begin promptly, and @ 12:00 p.m. for The Longest Table, live music, artists, and food preparation. Around 3:00 p.m. we will cleanup, breakdown and completely outta there by 4:00 p.m.

This is a new kind of event for Payson—one that invites us to slow down, share a meal, and gather as a unified community. The Longest Table creates space for new ideas, future community projects, and a renewed sense of connection across our town.

Upon arrival, please check in with your assigned table host (by table number), who will guide you through setting up your section of The Longest Table. As a community, we’ll set up together while food is prepared in the background.

Once the table is ready, guests will line up for burgers, hot dogs, and sides, with a black bean patty option available for vegetarians.

After the meal, enjoy live music, local artists, community vendors, and yard games like cornhole. At 3:00 p.m., we will break down together so that Grren Valley Park is fully reopened by 4:00 p.m.

Thank you for your interest!
If you’d like to help with cooking, setup, or general volunteering—including opportunities for high school students—or if your organization would like to serve as a table host, please contact Jesse at 928-592-8394.
